Discovery Center Cornerstone Dedication Ceremony

I got to attend the dedication ceremony for a Mason-crafted cornerstone that completed the outside construction of the Flint Hills Discovery Center here in town. The center isn't scheduled to fully open until April. The Masons performed the ceremony and it was something I had never seen before.

I had a fun night when I got to cover the comedian DeRay Davis (as seen in Barbershop movies), and the rapper The Game— who was on campus promoting the EA game Battlefield 3. There was a buzz on campus the whole day before the actual concert because people were skeptical that The Game was coming to Manhattan, KS.
