Just like a bird with a fry...

I'm happy with the little things.

Orders cooked just right. Perfectly exposed photos. Random adventures. Learning. Juicy Juice punch. Books. New kitchen gadgets. Sunshine. Big dogs. Peace. Family. Friends.

I recently bought a Canon 5D SLR camera for a couple of reasons. One, I'm studying abroad this coming summer and wanted an SLR for the trip. Two, I'd like to teach journalism and would need a beautiful, wonderful camera to teach kids photography. And three, I'm spoiled and wanted a full sensor. So I've been taking my camera, affectionately named Lysander from A Midsummer Night's Dream, just about everywhere with me.
These are some of the photos I've taken thus far.

Raven and Adam on the boat after our jet ski died.

Jayce getting life jackets in the boat.

Matt looking out the picture window in Raven's old house.
Creepy marionettes at a Rootsfest booth.
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals headlined Rootsfest. They rocked it out big time.
Matt cut his leg to the bone on the fire pit in his backyard and needed four internal and seven external stitches.
Matt practicing harmonica while Bea listens.
My friend Sam has great expressions. This was at a girl's night event we went to in the Union.
K-State vs. Iowa State game, 24-20 K-State won. Games are a family affair.

  2. Thank you! The kiss was what made me like the photo so much in the first place, I didn't catch it in the stands, I only noticed it once I was going through them. =]
