K-State Project Runway

This is the second year that the UPC has held the K-State Project Runway competition. UPC brought Anthony Williams, a contestant from Project Runway season 7, to speak. Then, they held a fashion show competition where students took a vintage garment and redesigned (but still had to use at least 50% of the original garment). I really liked seeing the different dresses they came up with. The two larger images were my favorite from the shoot.

UNT Football Game

I was able to shoot the UNT vs. K-State game on Nov. 27 at the University of North Texas. It was an experience. I'm glad I had it. I'm grateful for the opportunity.
Daniel Thomas.
That being said, I don't like football. I don't understand football. And I'd rather not shoot football.

Volleyball v. Nebraska

I had the pleasure of shooting the Nebraska volleyball game, which was my first K-State volleyball game to attend. Unfortunately we lost 3-0.

Slackliners

The girl in the white was new and she cracked up whenever she was about to slip or fall.
So I was walking around campus looking for interesting things to take pictures of when I spotted these slackliners in the shade. The girl in the black had been slack lining for seven years and was the best slack liner of the bunch.

And I saw this cute little thing on the little nature bridge by the Derb.
I wonder if Manda and Stu are still together. I hope so.

Family Day

Today I got up at the crack of nine in hopes of taking ample amounts of awesome family day photos. I wanted lots of kids, lots of events, and lots of action. Unfortunately, I didn't find that. It rained heavily in the afternoon and the general attendance to family day activities was minimal. But despite that, I did come away with a few shots that I really liked and had a relaxing day in my cool, breezy apartment.

The juggling guy was actually really good and moderately funny. This girl was a four year old skeptic; in all the other photos she has a very disapproving face on.

"The photographer needs to watch out!" Only after he said that and the machetes were back into the circular formation did I realize he was talking to me because he threw a machete to the side nearest me.

Balloon guy and happy kid.

Bright colors. So pretty.
